On December 4th, 2004, 29 smiling strangers snuck up on an unsuspecting storeowner! Lyn, daughter and manager, was genuinely surprised and quite bedazzled by the undivided attention of her unexpected guests.
Narnia Farms is based on strong convictions. Owner, Dr. Jocelyn Pearce believes that, “Organic farming is necessary to the health of the planet and to the health of all of us who consume the eventual end-products." She believes that regional production is generally preferable to transporting goods over long distances. She also believes that we can all make changes for the better.
As manager, Lyn warmly invites visitors into the store and readily shares her knowledge with a sense of fun.
Narnia Farms carries a wide variety of wonderful organic products created from Jocelyn’s garden in Smithers, B.C. Jams, jellies, mustard, teas, spices, honey and syrups are some of the delicious edible products, as well as body care products (soap, salve, moisturizer, massage oil, bath salts) and beeswax candles.
Narnia Farms also carries a wide selection of Canadian artwork; items such as stained and hand-blown glass and pottery, fine woodwork and hand-knitting.
Some of us fell in love with the unbelievably soft alpaca teddy bears.
