Making Shopping with a Consciousness FUN
Environmentally Friendly, Fair-Traded Products
Organic Cotton Linens
On Saturday, October 30th, 2004 the store had just opened for business when out of the blue, 26 people filed through the door, presented us with a balloon bouquet and proclaimed us 'best-of-the-bunch'—WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!
"We had never experienced such a huge influx of new customers all at once, and were totally overwhelmed at the community spirit and generosity shown by The Grapevine. Thank you to everyone for your time and enthusiasm." - Alain & Ian
Welcome to The Good Planet Company!

“We offer a groovy selection of natural, organic, sweatshop-free and fairly traded products sourced from suppliers in BC, across Canada, and around the world.”
The Good Planet Company's goal is to take the seriousness out of shopping conscientiously and to celebrate Mother Earth, rather than project an image of environmental doom and gloom. They have succeeded. The big windows, bright colours, fun and useful items, combined with Ian and Alain’s friendliness, make The Good Planet Company a unique place to shop.
Participants obviously loved the varied selection in this wonderful store offering such things as handmade local greeting cards, provocative bumper stickers and posters, handmade paper, pretty pottery bowls, pet items, herb teas, a great selection of natural soaps and lotions, essential oils, organic cotton bedding and towels, hemp bags, fun t-shirts and so much more. They also stock ecologically-kind cleaning products made by local companies and are a distributor for The Soap Exchange.
Those who came mingled, made new friends, and reported having a fabulous time. Many signed up for the next “graping” on the spot, fearing the event would become so popular that there might not be space for them to attend!
We urge you to check out this store, especially for unique, earth-friendly gift ideas. They have a gift registry and will even develop your own web page so all your friends and family can check in and see what you’d REALLY like as gifts! How good is that?
